From IdeaTo Experience
Custom offline business management application for billing, credit tracking, customer-specific pricing, split payments, and sales management.
The client operates a textile wholesale and manufacturing business, supplying products such as kurtis, dresses, lehengas, dress materials, and other apparel products in bulk to retailers and wholesale buyers.
On a regular business day, approximately 40–50 customers could visit the store, with many purchasing multiple products in a single transaction.
The client already used a POS system and had also tried several third-party financial and invoicing applications. However, these solutions mainly covered standard billing and accounting requirements and did not support several operational workflows specific to the client's business.

Challenge
Offline-First Application
Local desktop-style application operating seamlessly without cloud internet dependency.

Approach
Multi-Customer Drafts
Manage 3–4 parallel invoice drafts simultaneously during peak counter traffic.

Solution
Credit & Split Payments
Structured customer credit tracking and multi-channel split payment management.
TheProblem
The client was handling a high volume of daily transactions.
With approximately 40–50 customers visiting every day, the business generated a large number of:
- Sales invoices
- Product transactions
- Credit sales
- Payment records
- Customer balances
- Purchase records
- Salary entries
- Pending collections
This made daily business management increasingly difficult.
WhatWe Built
We developed a custom offline invoice and business management application specifically for the client's textile wholesale operation.
Instead of forcing the business into a generic accounting workflow, the application was structured around the client's actual sales, credit, payment, and customer-management processes.
Customer Management
A centralized customer-management module was developed where the client could maintain customer records and categorize buyers based on their business relationship.
- Customer details
- Local or outstation customer
- Credit customer
- Credit period
Product Management
The client could maintain a structured product catalogue inside the application.
Customer-Specific Pricing & Discounts
One of the important custom requirements was flexible pricing.
- Product rates
- Discounts
- Negotiated pricing
Multi-Customer Invoice Drafting
During busy hours, multiple customers could be purchasing at the same time.
Credit Management
The application included structured credit-management functionality.
- Credit transaction
- Credit period
- Pending amount
- Due date
Split Payment Management
Wholesale transactions did not always use a single payment method.
Angadiya Payment Management
A dedicated workflow was introduced for Angadiya-based payments.
- Angadiya provider
- Source location
- Destination location
- Amount
Sales & Purchase Management
The software maintains records related to both Sales and Purchases.
Invoice Management
Every generated invoice is stored within the application.
- Customer transactions
- Previous sales
- Outstanding invoices
- Historical billing information
Pending Payment & Overdue Tracking
The system provides visibility into outstanding customer payments.
- Pending payments
- Payment due dates
- Overdue customers
- Outstanding amounts
Automated WhatsApp Invoice Sharing
An automation workflow was added to simplify customer communication.
Employee Salary Management
The client was previously recording employee salary information manually.
Business Reports
Different reporting views were added to help the client review important business information.
- Sales
- Purchases
- Invoice history
- Pending payments
Offline-First Application
One of the primary architectural requirements was that the application should not depend on a cloud database for daily business operations.
ClientFeedback
The client had already used a POS system and explored other third-party financial and billing applications before approaching us.
“Instead of asking the client to adapt their business to generic software, we developed the system around the way their business already worked.”
Textile Wholesale Hub
Textile WholesaleThe result was a solution that addressed both their original billing requirement and several additional operational problems that were previously being managed manually.
